AIR STRIKERS GEARING UP TO HIT THE COURT FOR 2017

(DAYTON OHIO) The Dayton Air Strikers, the Miami Valley’s Professional Development Basketball team is returning to defend its Eastern Division title in the Midwest Basketball League. The team will play 16 season games against 6 other teams in the conference located throughout Indiana, Illinois, and Kentucky.

Air Strikers are coming off of the longest winning streak, and wins by the largest margin. The team also went undefeated on its home court going 7-0, with the overall record of 12-2 placing third in the league out of 11 teams.

Local returning players are veteran, Brandon Hassell, Aaron (Big Mook) Holmes and 2016 rookie of the year and latest overseas phenom Joe Thomasson. In the fall of last year Thomasson was recruited overseas to play in Romania and later drafted to the NBA-D League. Former impact players from earlier seasons will also be added to the roster.

Games will be played at Sinclair Community College building 8 in downtown Dayton. The team and administration are elated to have the games played at Sinclair giving the team more exposure to the fast growing community and college population of downtown. “We are excited about our upcoming season” said Chris McGuire long time Head Coach, of the Dayton Air Strikers “The players have worked extremely hard these past couple of seasons and are ready to put on a competitive show for the fans.”

Fans can expect high energy game play and fun interaction and excitement for the whole family. The season kicks off on Sunday, April 9, 2017 at 4p against the Indiana Crusaders. Tickets can be purchased online , Omega Music in the Oregon District, and T-Shirt Kings in Northwest Dayton. *
